Go Beyond the Ordinary with Green Key
The Tobago Tourism Agency Limited (TTAL) has reaffirmed its support for the Green Key certification programme, underscoring its commitment to building a tourism sector that is globally competitive, environmentally responsible, and fiscally prudent. Through this initiative, TTAL will assist Tobago-based tourist accommodation providers in their efforts to achieve this respected international ecolabel by covering 70% of the Green Key fee for applications received and approved by Friday 19th June 2026.
What is Green Key?
Green Key is a globally respected ecolabel awarded to tourism establishments that meet strict criteria for environmental responsibility and sustainable operations. Led by the Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE) in Denmark, the Green Key certification is recognized worldwide as a symbol of excellence in sustainability across hotels, guesthouses, resorts, and other accommodation types. To earn and maintain this prestigious certification, establishments must comply with annual inspections and demonstrate ongoing improvements across several key areas, including:

How To Apply?
Step 1: Submit Your Application
Click APPLY NOW to complete and submit the online application form. As confirmation, a copy of your application will be sent to the email address provided. All applications received and processed by the Agency are subject to these Terms and Conditions.
Step 2: Receive and Pay Your Invoice
Once your application is accepted, you will receive an invoice from TTAL via email within two (2) weeks. Please ensure the email address used during registration is correct and active, since this is how all correspondence will be sent. Payment details will be included for online and in-bank transactions.
Step 3: Submit Proof of Payment
Once payment is made, email your payment receipt to destination@tobagotourism.org and accounts@tobagotourism.org. Be sure to include your invoice number and property name in the email. A confirmation receipt from TTAL will then be sent to you within two (2) weeks.
Step 4: Begin the Certification Process
Once the application process is completed, you will be contacted by a TTAL representative with further details to begin the certification process.
