Guided by our mandate and rooted in partnership, TTAL carries out a range of core functions that shape how Tobago is developed, experienced and shared with the word. These include:

• • Working assiduously with tourism stakeholders towards the development of Tobago as the premier destination in the Southern Caribbean.
  • Designing and implementing suitable and effective marketing strategies for the promotion of the island’s tourism product.

• • Ensuring adequate and suitable air and sea passenger transport services to and from Tobago in order to facilitate international airlift, domestic airlift, cruise and domestic ferry services.

• • Establishing and facilitating the establishment of amenities and facilities for the enjoyment of Tobago as a tourist destination.

• • Conducting pertinent research and marketing intelligence in order to inform effective decision making in the tourism industry.

• • Registering and classifying tourist accommodation according to their adherence to established standards.

• • Transiting accurate and timely tourism information to the Division, tourism stakeholders and the general public.

• • Successfully promoting events as identified in the island’s tourism calendar.

• • Ensuring timely payment to suppliers of goods and services and airlines that serve the destination.
